PRODUCT DESCRIPTION​​

Collage is a synthetic bone graft substitute product. This osteoconductive scaffold in putty form is engineered to mimic the composition and pore structure of natural human bone. Collage contains:

  • 80 percent highly purified beta-TCP
    • Provides defect filling volume
    • Allows for radiographic visualization of bone graft placement
    • Contains mineral components necessary for bone growth
  • 20 percent highly purified type-1 collagen
    • Provides sites for protein binding
    • Biocompatibility and safety of collagen demonstrated in over 10 million implants
    • Rapid and compete absorption of bioactive proteins​

Indication

Orthofix Collage Putty, combined with bone marrow aspirate, is intended for use as a bone void filler to fill voids or gaps of the skeletal system in the extremities, spine, and pelvis not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure.  Orthofix Collage Putty is also indicated for use in the treatment of surgically treated osseous defects or osseous defects created from traumatic injury to the bone.  Following placement in the bony void or gap (defect), Orthofix Collage Putty is resorbed and replaced with bone during the healing process.​
