Brad Mason | President and Chief Executive Officer
Brad Mason became President and Chief Executive Officer in March
2013 after previously serving as Group President, North America from June 2008 through
October 2009, and as a Strategic Advisor from November 2009 through October
2010. Prior to its acquisition by Orthofix, Brad was the President and Chairman
of Breg, a company he principally founded in 1989. Brad has over 30 years
of experience in the medical device industry, some of which were spent with dj
Orthopedics (formally DonJoy) where he became an owner and executive in its
early development stage and held the position of Executive Vice
President. Following Brad’s retirement from Orthofix in 2010, he served in
a variety of part-time consulting and advisory roles, including as a consultant
to Orthofix. He is the named inventor on 38 issued patents in the orthopedic
product arena. Brad graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Arts and
Associate of Science degree from MiraCosta College.
DOUG RICE | Chief Financial Officer
Doug Rice became Chief Financial Officer of Orthofix
in April 2015. He joined the Company as its Chief Accounting Officer in
September 2014 and was named Interim CFO shortly thereafter. Prior to joining
Orthofix, Doug served as the Chief Financial Officer of Vision Source, a
national optometric network provider. He joined Vision Source from McAfee, a
global antivirus software and computer security company, where he was Vice
President Finance and Treasurer from 2007 until 2012, when McAfee was acquired
by Intel Corporation. From 2000 to 2007, Doug was Senior Vice President and
Corporate Controller of Concentra, Inc., a national healthcare service
provider. He also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in various roles including
Audit Manager. Doug is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA and BBA,
with honors, from Southern Methodist University.
Mike Finegan joined Orthofix as Vice President of Corporate Development in 2006. In 2009, Mike assumed additional responsibilities as the President of Biologics and in June 2013 he was promoted to Chief Strategy Officer for the Company. Prior to joining Orthofix, Mike served in several management positions, including Vice President of Corporate Sales at Boston Scientific Corporation. He began his career in banking with First Union (today known as Wachovia). Mike graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Economics.
Kim Elting joined the Orthofix Leadership team as Chief Legal Officer in September 2016 and was named Chief Legal and Administrative Officer in 2017. Kim oversees the Legal, Regulatory, Quality, and Corporate Communications teams for the Company. A seasoned executive, she has a strong background in the medical device industry. Before coming to Orthofix, Kim served as General Counsel and Vice President Corporate Affairs at TriVascular Technologies, Inc. In this role, she led the legal, compliance, human resources (HR) and government affairs functions for the company. Prior to this, Kim served in various roles of increasing responsibility with St. Jude Medical including General Counsel and Vice President of HR and Health Policy for the Neuromodulation Division. Kim previously was a partner at the Jones Day law firm. A graduate of Ithaca College, Kim earned her Law Degree from the University of Denver and an LL.M. in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago.
jill mason | Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer
Jill Mason became Chief Compliance Officer at Orthofix
in February 2015. She has an extensive background in healthcare compliance in
the medical device industry. Prior to joining the Company, Jill served as the
Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Director of Global Compliance Operations
for St. Jude Medical where she led efforts to ensure global adherence with
applicable laws, regulations and company policies. Jill has also run her own
consulting company where she provided compliance services for pharmaceutical
and medical device companies. An attorney, Jill spent the first several years
of her career in private practice, specializing in regulatory and corporate
matters. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station and
has a law degree from Baylor University School of Law in Waco Texas.
James Ryaby, PhD | Chief Scientific Officer
Jim Ryaby, PhD joined Orthofix as Chief Scientific Officer in July 2013 after serving as a consultant to the Company. Before joining Orthofix, Jim served as Vice President of Research and Clinical Affairs for musculoskeletal applications at Mesoblast. He has also held the position of Senior Vice President of Research and Clinical Affairs and Chief Scientific Officer at OrthoLogic Corp. in Tempe, AZ where he led the development of the CMF technology for spine fusion and nonunions and the TP508 peptide therapeutic development program in orthopedic and diabetic ulcer applications. Additionally, he has served as Adjunct Professor of Bioengineering at Arizona State University. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science from Hiram College in Hiram Ohio and a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
Tim McGuire joined Orthofix in August 2013. Tim has more than 26 years of experience in information technology in a variety of leadership roles across corporate information technology, management consulting, and high tech startups. Prior to joining Orthofix, he was Vice President, IT at Quest Diagnostics where he was responsible for IT strategy and operations for the $1.2B cancer diagnostics business (Ameripath). Prior to that, he held a variety of leadership positions at SunGard, Pariveda Solutions, Hitachi Consulting, and Accenture. Tim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and a Master of Business Administration, both from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.
BRAD NIEMANN | President, Global Orthofix Spine
Brad Niemann was promoted to the position of President Global Orthofix Spine in June 2018. Prior to this, he served as President of the BioStim business. Brad joined Orthofix in March 2012 as Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for Orthofix's Global Spine Business. He has more than 15 years of experience in the medical device industry, with a particularly strong track record in expanding the accessibility of bone growth stimulation technology. From 2004-2012, Brad worked in a variety of management roles of increasing responsibility at DJO Global, Inc., most recently as Senior Vice President, Recovery Sciences where he led their commercial efforts. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from DePaul University.

President, Global Orthofix Extremities
Davide Bianchi joined Orthofix as President of the International Extremity Fixation group in July 2013. In January 2014, he was named to Global President of the Extremity Fixation business which was renamed "Orthofix Extremities" in June of 2018. With more than 20 years' experience in the medical device industry, Davide's career has included the role of President of the Heart Valves Global Business Unit for the Sorin Group SpA, Italy, and Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Marketing EMEA for Edwards Lifesciences, LLC. He holds a Master of Business Management from ISTUD Milano and a non-executive Director Diploma from the Financial Times business school.
